Let's make a change

The country is in pandemonium, the cost of living is higher than ever, we are no closer to peace than we were twenty years ago, the freedom of speech is no longer a luxury, the crime rate is growing exponentially, accountability is nil, our people suffer and Sri Lanka is going from bad to worse, but that you already know. Since I’m stating the obvious then, let me also tell you this, if we do not take sufficient courses of action, we alone will be held accountable for the obliteration of this Island. We are now facing a time and an era, which the future will not look favorably upon, it will compare the present to the periods our country suffered through colonization, riots and such dark ages. We are oblivious to such circumstances now, because we are all actors in this poorly performed play and also because we have been underprivileged to have been born in to an era in which we are brain washed to dance to the tune of servants: public servants who we empowered and trusted to deal with such tribulations and traitors who share no love for this country.

An educated man once said “people should not be afraid of their governments, the governments should be afraid of their people”. The relevance of this in our Countries context, although shadowed by subjective perspectives, is quite evident; continually countless information mediums bombard our naïve intellect with a truth, and that is that that we are cowards, puppets who live selfish superficial lives. I am ashamed to admit that I too, have lived such a life, a life in the present not honoring the past or leaving any hope for the future. However the time has come for a revolutionary change, not simply cosmetic but a tangible change. It is time to put down our pens and take to the sword. I am not suggesting that we take arms and rebel against the administration. I am merely hinting on the fact that we live in an age where the pen is a feeble weapon against a dangerous and powerful adversary, and we must therefore take action adequate to constitute a revolutionary change for the betterment of our mother land.

Having said that I do not wish to bore you\nwith words that have materialized from a pen or its ink, but I do wish, that\nyou would regard this manifesto as an ultimatum, regardless of your label, a\nlaborer, a house wife, a businessman even a common thief, together let us unit\nand create an era in which we will earn more and spend less, an era in which we\ncould freely wander about all corners of this island, an era which the future\nwould be proud of.

I beg of you, join me in establishing a union, an organization that will act as a check and balance for all acts concerning the public, an organization that could strategically reinstate the fear in governments towards its people and organization that would be feared by traitors and loved by patriots, an organization that honors the past and establishes the future and an organization that you can be a part of. This is not a political organization it is simply an organization that would craft opportunities for an individual to contribute his or her share to the development of this country. Remember one man can make a difference and a collective group of individuals can change the face of this world. If you so desire to serve our Mother, who has given us every thing, made us who we are and has never asked for anything in return please contact me on karvinda@gmail.com when ever time permits, but do not delay, for our existence is temporary and these evil forces may expedite the inevitable in fear of change.
